Celebrating 50 Years of Service for Westchester’s Older Adults

50th Annual Salute to Seniors Wednesday, May 2, 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

The 50th Annual Salute to Seniors is set for Wednesday, May 3 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains. The Salute will be in full swing from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

Salute to Seniors is a celebration of the seniors in our community and includes something for everyone. Plan an outing to attend the event, spend the day, have lunch and enjoy all the attractions. Be sure to bring a friend, family member or caregiver and be prepared to enjoy the day.

The Business Expo is always a favorite. More than 90 vendors with products and services for seniors and caregivers as well as representatives from county and state agencies will be on hand to talk with salute-goers and answer their questions. View new services and sample new products.

The Health and Wellness Fair will include 17 outstanding health care providers in Westchester County. Stop by for a nutrition assessment, skin care and dental care information, tai chi exercise and more.

Telehealth Intervention Programs for Seniors (TIPS) will once again be featured at Salute. Westchester's innovative Telehealth Intervention Programs for Seniors, which will improve the health of many older adults and save taxpayer money at the same time.

Lunches are available but registration is required by calling (914) 813-6416 or (914) 813-6449. The deadline to place orders is Wednesday, April 19, and the suggested meal contribution for seniors (60 years of age and up) is $4. The concession will also be open.

Enjoy live entertainment in the afternoon will feature songs, dance performances and memories of the USO from the WWII, Korean and Vietnam War eras.  Join us in promoting activities, inclusion and wellness for older Americans in your community.
