Yorktown Senior Law Day, May 18
Yorktown Senior Law Day is set for Thursday, May 18. The program developed by Westchester's Department of Senior Programs and Services, in conjunction with legal and financial advisors from the private sector, is a free event that covers all aspects of elderlaw, financial planning and geriatric care management.
Attorneys, certified financial planners and geriatric care managers will offer nine free workshops on elder law topics, plus free one-on-one consultations as part of the day's activities.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jefferson Village Community Center, 3480 Hill Blvd., Yorktown. Registration is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome.

The Department of Senior Programs and Services presents Yorktown Senior Law Day with the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services and the Ninth Judicial District of New York State Office of Court Administration. Steve Schurkman, Esq., a Partner with Keane & Beane in White Plains, is Chair of Yorktown Senior Law Day.
An estimated 6,000 seniors, family members and caregivers have benefited from Senior Law Day since it began in 1999.
