Celebrating 50 Years of Service for Westchester’s Older Adults

Don't Miss the Golden Harvest Dance and Talent Show at the County Center

Golden Harvest DancersSenior citizens will showcase their talents and dance the afternoon away at the annual Golden Harvest Dance and Talent Show on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

All local seniors age 60 and older who have a special talent that they would like to share are welcome to become a part of the day’s festivities during the talent show, which will kick off the day at 11 a.m. Singers, dancers, instrumentalists, group performers, magicians and seniors with unusual acts are welcome. Registration is required for the talent show; to sign up, call (914) 813-6300. Reservation deadline is Oct. 5, 2016.

From 12:30 to 3 p.m., seniors can dance to the sounds of Stolen Moments Entertainment. Stolen Moments Entertainment will perform all the music the seniors want to hear including Oldies, Big Band, Latin, Salsa and among others. The event will also include group and line dances, ballroom dancing and dance instructions for the Salsa and Merengue.

Lunch Orders
At 12:30 p.m., a box lunch will be available which will include a chicken salad sandwich, salad, cookie and juice. Suggested lunch contribution is $4. The concession stand will be open; no outside food may be brought into the County Center. Table reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission and parking are free for the program. The event is open to all Westchester County senior citizens age 60 and older.

The dance is sponsored by Westchester County’s departments of Senior Programs and Services, Parks and  the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services.

The County Center is located at 198 Central Avenue in White Plains. The center is also served by the Westchester County BEE-LINE bus system.
