Senior Law Day ProgramSenior Law Day, a program developed by Westchester's Department of Senior Programs and Services, in conjunction with legal and financial advisors from the private sector, is a free event that covers all aspects of elderlaw, financial planning and geriatric care management. An estimated 6,000 seniors, family members and caregivers have benefited from Senior Law Day since it began in 1999.

This event, originally held annually, has gained momentum in the county with municipalities endeavoring to sponsor it locally. The day-long program offers a choice of workshops, plus free 15-minute, one-on-one consultations with some of the county’s leading legal, financial and geriatric care experts. The 2015 Yorktown program offers an overview of the types of workshops and consultations offered. Some workshops have been held in Spanish.
