29 National Senior Health and Fitness Day
Throughout Westchester
Activities that range from line dancing to chair exercises, tennis and  nutrition will be taking place during  the day at locations throughout Westchester. See activities, times and locations. For more information, call (914) 813-6432.

The day is organized by the Department of Senior Programs and Services and its Health and Wellness Coalition. It is sponsored by the Mature Market Resource Center, a national information clearinghouse for the older adult market. The 2013 theme for the nationwide program is “Think Healthy, Eat Healthy, Act Healthy…Be Healthy!”

Keeping Leg Veins Healthy

A registered nurse from the Center for Vein Restoration will discuss ways to keep leg veins healthy as well as treatment options, if needed. Event will include a “live” leg ultrasound demonstration. 17 Senior Law Day in Westchester

Attorneys, certified financial planners and others lead more than 15 free workshops on elder law issues such as wills vs. trusts, estate planning, planning for the care of a loved one and the nuts and bolts of financial planning.  In addition, the workshop leaders offer free, one-on-one, 15-minute consultations.  Registration starts after Labor Day.
